Do I need to apply if enrolled in a state university?
No. Free tuition in SUCs is automatic under RA 10931. Just enroll and tuition is covered.
Does it cover other fees besides tuition?
RA 10931 covers tuition and other school fees (OSF). Some miscellaneous fees may still be charged.
What is the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES)?
A subsidy of up to ₱40,000/year for financially needy students in private colleges. Apply through your school.
Does it cover graduate school?
RA 10931 covers undergraduate and tech-voc programs only. Graduate programs are generally not covered.
What if my school charges me tuition anyway?
Report it to CHED at ched.gov.ph. SUCs are prohibited from collecting tuition under RA 10931.
Can working students avail of free tuition?
Yes. Free tuition applies to all bona fide enrolled students in SUCs regardless of employment status.
