When can I retire and receive GSIS pension?
At age 60 with at least 15 years of service (optional). Compulsory retirement is at age 65.
How much pension will I receive?
Your service years × 2.5% × average monthly compensation, minimum ₱5,000/month.
Can I get a GSIS loan while working?
Yes. Active members can apply for Consolidated Loan (up to ₱3M), Emergency Loan, and Multi-Purpose Loan.
What if I resign with fewer than 15 years?
You receive a cash surrender value (one-time payment) instead of a monthly pension.
Are GSIS benefits taxable?
GSIS retirement benefits are tax-exempt under RA 8291.
Can my family claim death benefits?
Yes. The legal spouse and children receive survivorship pension equal to 100% of your monthly pension.
