Do I need PhilHealth to use Malasakit Center?
No. Even without PhilHealth, PCSO, DSWD, and DOH funds can still cover your bills.
Is it available in all hospitals?
Available in all DOH-retained government hospitals nationwide. Some LGU hospitals also have it. Not in private hospitals.
Can I use it for outpatient treatment?
Primarily for inpatients. For outpatient needs, contact PCSO or local DSWD directly.
What documents do I need?
Valid government ID, barangay certificate of indigency, hospital admission papers, and PhilHealth ID if available.
Does it cover medicines?
Yes. PCSO assistance covers chemotherapy drugs, dialysis supplies, and other essential medicines.
How long does processing take?
A social worker assesses your case the same day and assistance is applied directly to your bill before discharge.
