What types of assistance does PCSO give?
Cash for hospital bills, chemotherapy drugs, dialysis supplies, blood assistance, and medicines for serious diseases.
Do I need a social worker's referral?
Yes for most programs. A referral from a government hospital medical social worker is required.
How much can I get?
₱10,000–₱200,000 for Individual Medical Assistance. Chemotherapy and dialysis assistance cover specific drug/session costs.
How long does processing take?
Same day for urgent walk-in cases at the main office. Applications through hospitals may take 3–5 working days.
Can PCSO and PhilHealth be combined?
Yes. PhilHealth covers the case rate first, then PCSO covers the remaining balance. The Malasakit Center coordinates both.
Is there an online application?
Check the PCSO website for online options. The One-Stop Shop at PCSO main office in Mandaluyong also accepts walk-ins.
