Where does the PWD discount apply?
All establishments selling medicines, restaurants, transportation, hotels, cinemas, and recreational facilities must give the 20% discount.
Is VAT also removed?
Yes. PWDs are also VAT-exempt, making the effective savings roughly 32% off the regular price.
Can I use my PWD card for family members?
No. The PWD discount is strictly for personal use of the registered PWD only. Using it for others is illegal.
What types of disability qualify?
Physical, visual, hearing, intellectual, mental health conditions, cancer, rare diseases, and multiple disabilities all qualify.
Does the PWD ID expire?
IDs issued after 2016 are valid for 3 years and must be renewed. Keep your ID updated.
Where do I register?
At your local barangay or city Social Welfare and Development Office (SWDO). Bring a medical certificate.
