Who qualifies as a solo parent?
Widowed, separated, single mothers/fathers, or those whose spouse is incapacitated, in prison, or abroad under RA 8972.
Where does the 7% discount apply?
Baby supplies, medicines, food for the child, and clothing in participating establishments and government stores.
How many parental leave days do I get?
10 days of paid parental leave per year under RA 11861 (Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act of 2022).
Can a man be a solo parent?
Yes. Fathers who are widowed, separated, or solely responsible for raising children qualify.
Does the Solo Parent ID expire?
Yes. It must be renewed every year at the city or municipal social welfare office.
What if my youngest child turns 18?
You no longer qualify as a solo parent and the ID will not be renewed. Benefits only apply while caring for children below 18.
