❓ Mga Madalas na Tanong (FAQ)
Who are the primary beneficiaries?
Legal spouse and dependent children below 21, single, and not working. They receive monthly survivorship pension.
How much is the survivorship pension?
100% of the deceased member's monthly pension. Each dependent child also gets 10% extra (up to 5 children).
Who can claim the ₱20,000 funeral benefit?
Whoever paid for the funeral — not necessarily a family member. Present official receipts and the death certificate.
What if the member had less than 36 contributions?
Only the ₱20,000 funeral benefit is payable. No monthly pension or lump sum death benefit is given.
How long do beneficiaries receive the pension?
Spouse receives it for life unless they remarry. Children receive it until age 21 or until they marry or work.
Is there a deadline to file?
No strict deadline, but file as soon as possible. Benefits are paid from the date of filing, not the date of death.
